February Half Term Workshop
MONDAY 17th & TUESDAY 18th FEBRUARY

Fran and Faye invite young artists (ages 5-11) to create their own nature trinket box. With guidance and plenty of fun, drawing inspiration from natural forms of Rochester Square garden, the children will craft and decorate a personalized pot and lid over two mornings.
Workshop schedule:
Day 1
9.30 - 10:00am
Sign in, start them with drawing. Talk about some examples spread out on the table (printouts, books and drawings)10:30 - 10.15am
Going through some techniques that could transfer onto pottery – modelling scarfitto, stencil, stamps, relief (alphabetti spaghetti!)10.15- 10.45am
Slab rolling and template cutting10.45 -11am
Meet the chickens/break time11am-12pm

Lunch12.30-1.30 pm
Clay games and cleaning
Day 2

Decorating boxes with slip/clear up
Outcomes: Trinket box with scrafitto / natural markings / relief print.

Faye Macaree is a creative facilitator and practitioner.
Minimum class size is 6 people, if we don’t reach a minimum number of participants we will cancel the class and issue a full refund. Unfortunately, we cannot refund classes with less than a 2-week notice. All our teachers have been DBS checked.
